1. Who We Are

The Wynston W.I.N. platform at wynston.ca is operated by Wynston Technologies Corp., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada (BC Registration No. BC1592036), with a registered address at Suite 828 – 1489 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, BC V7T 1B8, Canada.

Wynston is a software (SaaS) company. It is not a real estate brokerage and is not a party to any real estate transaction. For the purposes of PIPEDA and PIPA BC, Wynston Technologies Corp. is the "organization" accountable for personal information under its control.

Our designated Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@wynston.ca.

2. What Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information only to the extent necessary to provide our services. The categories we may collect include:

  • Account information — name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), the persona you select (builder, realtor, or mortgage professional), and your chosen city or subscription tier.
  • Billing information — subscription tier, plan status, and billing history. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe; Wynston does not receive or store your full card number.
  • Usage information — the parcels, reports, and features you interact with, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, and timestamps, collected to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
  • User-submitted content — if you submit a project or listing to showcase on the Platform, the information you provide, including any contact details you choose to include.
  • Communications — the content of messages, support requests, and inquiries you send us, and any inquiry you submit through the Platform.
Wynston is board-independent. We do not collect, use, or store MLS®, Home Price Index, or real estate board data as part of your personal profile.

3. How We Collect Your Information

  • Directly from you — when you create an account, subscribe, submit content, contact us, or opt into communications.
  • Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies as you use the Platform (see Section 7).
  • From our service providers — for example, subscription status confirmations from Stripe.

4. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes, on the basis of your consent or as otherwise permitted by PIPEDA and PIPA:

  • To create and administer your account and authenticate your logins.
  • To provide the Platform's feasibility analytics and reports you request.
  • To process subscriptions, payments, renewals, and cancellations through Stripe.
  • To send you service and transactional messages (for example, email verification, receipts, and account notices).
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide support.
  • To secure the Platform, prevent misuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Platform.
  • To send marketing communications only where you have opted in.
Your choice matters: marketing communications are entirely opt-in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@wynston.ca. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of communications sent before your request, and we may still send you essential service messages about your account.

5. Aggregate & De-identified Analytics

We analyze how the Platform is used in aggregate, de-identified form to understand demand, improve our models, and develop new features. This analysis does not identify you and is not used to make decisions about you individually.

Aggregate insights may include patterns such as which cities or parcel types generate the most interest, or general feature-usage trends across the user base. If you prefer that your activity not be included even in de-identified aggregate analytics, you may opt out by contacting privacy@wynston.ca, and we will honour your request within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the limited circumstances below:

  • Service providers (data processors) — trusted vendors who process information on our behalf under contract, including Stripe (payments), Mapbox (mapping), our hosting provider Hostinger, and our email delivery infrastructure. These providers may process or store data outside British Columbia or Canada; where that occurs, the information becomes subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is held.
  • Content you choose to publish — information you submit for a public listing is displayed publicly by design. Do not include personal information in a listing that you do not wish to be public.
  • Legal and safety — where required by law, court order, or regulator, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wynston, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply to your information.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, secure the service, and understand aggregate usage. Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the service, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When information is no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Under PIPEDA and PIPA BC, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdraw consent to non-essential uses, such as marketing, at any time.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Ask questions about how your information is handled and, if unsatisfied, escalate to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@wynston.ca. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Data Security

Wynston implements commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS);
  • storing passwords only as secure, salted hashes;
  • delegating card processing to Stripe, a PCI-DSS-compliant processor, so that we do not handle full card numbers;
  • access controls that limit who can view personal information; and
  • regular review of our security practices.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will act in accordance with applicable breach-notification requirements.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for business and professional use by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province of residence. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
